How is it the 9th of February…

Wow, January was far too quick!

One minute, I was ill over the new year; the next, I was living and working in the Arctic, and now it’s February, and I am back in the UK.

I have only been home in the UK for a few days. I have moved back in with my parents and am currently packing up my house as I have sold it. I have less than a month to organise my entire life into my car and move down to Bournemouth as I start my new Job on the 1st of March.

I am watching 2024 reset videos on YouTube as I write this blog to help motivate and inspire me. I have had some blues since coming home after spending three months living and working in Lapland, Finland. I treated myself to some retail therapy so that when I got home, I had many parcels to open. I also treated myself to some pampering and got my nails done (I missed having acrylics on), and I am getting my hair done tomorrow (god, it needs it; my split ends are atrocious, and my roots are criminal).

Today is a special day, and it starts my family's birthday week; my Mum’s birthday is today. I made her breakfast in bed, gave her presents and then gave her a lift to go out for lunch with her friends; tonight, we are going out to my favourite restaurant, and I was looking forward to having a cocktail, but unfortunately my dad can no longer come out with us as he has a sheep lambing (he is a sheep farmer, the joy of having a parent who works on a farm, sometimes the farm comes first) which means I will have to drive and in Scotland, there is a zero tolerance for drinking and driving, and Writely so!

I am currently reading Crescent City House of Flame and Shadow, and Sarah J Mass has me in a chokehold! I thought I knew where the story would go, but I was completely wrong! I am addicted, and Hunt Athalar will always have a particular spot in my heart. I wish he was honest and that I was Bryce; he is the ideal book-boyfriend!
