Settling In: Finding Time to Read Amidst a Big Move
Moving to a new place can be both exciting and overwhelming. You have to adjust to a new environment, meet new people, and settle in. Recently, I moved to a holiday park to work and live in my own caravan. While I was excited about the new adventure, I quickly realized that settling in wasn't going to be easy.
Between unpacking, organizing my things, and getting used to my new job, I found that I didn't have any time to read anything. It was frustrating because I love reading, but every time I tried to sit down with a book, something else would come up.
I soon realized that I had to be patient and take things slow. I couldn't expect to do everything at once. Instead, I had to prioritize my tasks and make time for the things that were most important to me.
One of the things that helped me was setting aside a specific time for reading each day. Even if it was just for 15 minutes before bed, I made sure to read something every day. This way, I didn't feel like I was missing out on something that I loved doing.
Another thing that helped me was finding a quiet spot where I could read without any distractions. It was difficult at first because the holiday park was always bustling with activity, but I eventually found a quiet corner where I could sit and read in peace.
Overall, settling in takes time, and it's important to be patient with yourself. While it may feel overwhelming at first, it's important to take things slow and prioritize your tasks. With a bit of effort, you'll find that you can make time for the things that are important to you, even in the midst of a big move.
