Sunbringer Book Launch…

Wow, what a day! It was a whirlwind from start to finish. I said goodbye to my friends in the morning, then stopped to visit my godmother and share some of my birthday cake with her. Later, I jumped on the train and headed to the book launch of Sunbringer by Hannah Kaner the second book in the Fallen Gods trilogy.

Hannah Kaner is such a wonderful author who knows how to write visually descriptive and immensely captivating stories, and it was so interesting listening to her describe her writing process and how her first drafts are always mainly dialogue before she begins to edit it and put the story together.

Kaner has a beautiful way of speaking, and she explains her characters and the different depths of love (not just romantic love), the love of friends and family and how she can tackle the subject of faith and belief in such a sensitive way is captivating. She was so lovely and welcoming, and I wish I could remember every question, as all of her answers were fascinating. I haven’t started reading Sunbringer, but I know that book three in the trilogy will be epic! At the end of the discussion, we got our hands on Sunbringer and got our books signed and dedicated to us. We were also gifted with a red rose to symbolise the god of roses within the book Sunbringer (and it’s also Valentines day), and it was the perfect end to the perfect day!

I am now home, and it is currently 11.16 pm as I am writing this. I feel exhausted, but I want to dive into Sunbringer and discover what is in store for our godkiller Kissen.
